This was taken on a day trip to Marakesh way back in 2005 with an Fuji camera but did some work on it to bring up the colours.
All comments welcome and don’t spare my feelings :D
Beautiful documentary-like shot! I love the contrast between bare cement (?) wall and the colorful wall hangings! Would have been even stronger if the person was to sit up with or without making eye contact. I have to check out Marrakech, some day!! :D
Very nice Helen. Good work on those colours too; they really
pop. Even though your main subject is quite central in the frame,
the battered old stool to the right adds an extra point of interest
and saves the image from appearing too static…

The image was enhanced a bit by me (although very inexpereinced) in photoshop elements. But the guy was making a little trinket which I actually got,.
Marakesh is just fantastic. Its an assault on the senses, its still very old world which the big satilite dishes ruin.
We stayed in a gorgeous hotel in Agadir – however it had one small defect, the bar closed bang on at 12 midnight.
