Been out flashing

Ah well maybe not so exciting but I was waving my torch around over this boat near Harveys point hotel on Lough Eske

Using a long exposure I played the light from my torch over the boat and the water then to isolate the boat from the background i used render->lights->omni in PS to darken the boats surroundings but this has made the boat a bit bright.

    Critique welcome

wow, it turned out very well. Very nice picture. The reflections in the water really make the shot.

    Fair play.

Yes agreed a very nice effect, the front of the boat is a little burned but nonetheless it’s a fine shot

Very nice, and a great idea, how long is “a long exposure” would love
to have a go at this.

It was 30 secs at f8 i think to get a reasonable DOF using the self timer just waving the torch around i was aiming to colour in the boat rather than have lines of light on it if that meakes sense :)

That is an enchanting shot. Very out of the ordinary in a very good way! I love the exposure. The soft light on the boat is dreamy. What is the spot reflection in the water? Torch, or moon? I really like this shot.

Very unusual, like it. Don’t know about that white reflection in the water though

Great idea adn shot.you should clone out the light in the water though.it would make the shot better IMO.I wonder if you pulled back the levels at the front of the boat would it help also.
