PitmaticMemberThe D80 seems a good DSLR (i dont do woot and whoop etc :) ) which I have
As said above go out and get clicking!
I am disappointed with my kit lens the sigma 18-50 which never seems very sharp so I hope to replace it with a nikon 18-70 which is supposed to be much better and is quite cheap or it could be mine is a duffer :(
Go out have fun and discover what floats your boat :) but most importantly have fun :)
Sgt_MajorMemberI have the D80 for a yr now.
I find 95% of the time you need to drop your exposue to -0.3 or -0.7 to get it right. Its rare I shoot on 0.0 exposure.
Its a very sturdy camera, and Ive had no problems at all with it, although if you use a very long shutter (20sec+) I find it has a bit of trouble saving the image and can take quite a while to save it, but I expect thats normal.
Good luck with it, you wont be disappointed!

What lens have you got?
Cheers Steve

Hardly now “you can with a canon” (not with a nikon) lol :)
Sgt_MajorMemberLMAO!
Anyhow, like most say, get out snapping, you’ll pick it up handy enough, my learning curve was about 4-6 weeks coming from a Fuji S7000
