website quote: “It’s fair to say that with the D2X Nikon are well and truly ‘back’, a killer combination of the superb D2 body, a high resolution CMOS sensor and the added bonus of high speed shooting when you need it. What can I say? The ratio of Pros to Cons really sums up my whole feeling for the D2X, it’s exactly what we expect Nikon to produce, a solid robust high performance digital SLR with superb image quality, build quality and a confidence inspiring sense of presence.”

I’d say it’s too expensive. Check price on ebay link. Here you can buy new D2x for 1700-1800. Or maybe you body comes with lenses?

I have reduced the price to 2499 to match the price of used D2x’s (professional use) at “Conn’s Camera” shop. You can of course buy any on ebay, but at least this one you can view before you buy and has the actual mileage displayed. Additionally you will have the certitude that this camera has not been heavily used.

Bermingham Cameras in Dublin was selling a second hand one in very good condition last week for 1495 euro. It’s sold now. D300’s are going for 1800 which you could argue are superior to the D2x and you would also have a brand new camera with full warranty…

I would still go for a d2x if I had to choose.

Why because it looks better:-) The build quality is possible better on the d2x but the D300 is technically a better camera, The D300 starts where the D2x left off from what i can make out… But what do i know, i still use a D70 for 70% of my shots
