Anyone shopped here? what was the experience? was there any extra VAT/Customs costs?
I sent both of them a message over ebay, how long did it take them to reply to you?

yeah see, I’m just trying to get some more details on this… I sent them a question about a product a couple of days ago, they havn’t gotten back to me, So i don’t want to order and have my shipment get messed up and lose over a grand…
I’ve bought a couple of things from Kea photo and found them to be most reliable and friendly.
PatI e-mailed Kea recently about a filter – responded in about 24 hours. Usually if I buy something from them and send them an e-mail about same they respond within about 4-8 hours.
Just remember they are about +10 hours ahead and it is the weekend.
What about customs / VAT? Do you have a Email address for either of them? I just messaged them through “Ask the seller about this item” on ebay
I sent kea a email though through salesukkeaphoto.com or something similar to that, sent it 4 days ago.As for customs/VAT… touchy subject to go into any great detail on the forums.

I have bought from Albert, Kea photo on a couple of occasions over a year apart and found him to be very very fast and efficient.
FedEx uprade well worth it, order confirmed Christmas Eve recieved 27th.

I bought the 40D from them and sent off a message to them. Within 10 minutes I had a reply and that would’ve been about 10pm HK time.
Most of the stuff I have is from Kea-Photo. Never had a single issue with them. Brilliant communication, brilliant prices, and very fast delivery. I would never hesitate to recommend them.
i got a 40d from ur galaxy superb customer services. ordered it on the sunday it was here wednesday..

they way they sort out excise is genius..Most of my gear is from URGalaxy and until now have highly recommended him (Hugo). Turnaround is usually good and kit has always been good genuine stock. FedEx delivery has never taken more than 3 days, and payment is a breeze with PayPal. No customs – everything is sent international business priority, which is pre-sealed and customs can’t open it. It is declared at a low value as repairs.
My recent gripe is that he refuses point blank to supply an itemised invoice. After my first order in 2005 he happily supplied one. This time he won’t enter any discussion. I got 3 extended international warranties too. The warranty states that I must provide the invoice or receipt, proof of purchase. A PayPal receipt for the whole order won’t do it. You’d probably have similar issues if you wanted to claim insurance.
It also means that I can’t get my Canon rebate (it ended 31 Dec; I bought my stuff earlier in Dec).
So long as you don’t need to use the warranty or make any claims (touch wood) then you’ll be OK.
Within the last 6 months I’ve bought from Kea-Photo – Canon 40D, Canon 300mm f/2.8 IS L and last week got a 1D MkIII.
All 3 day delivery and not a single problem. Always my first choice for buying camera gear.
