  Before anybody gets on your case, I’ll just ask why are you selling all this quite new (apart from the 1Ds) gear? People hereabouts can get suspicious about a first forum post being to sell a load of gear, as they like to feel that they “know” somebody before parting with their cash. Best of luck anyway.

  Suggestion: give us your general geographical location and genuine reasons for selling the newish Canon stuff. Then people will be more inclined to trust you ;)

  I live in Cork, and the reason for wanting to sell the gear (Canon 40D body + 17-85 lens is only three weeks old) is brobably because I am going through a bout of “Camera Sickness”.
  After buying the most recent gear on impulse, I read about the new Olympus E3. I like the idea of live view, with the swivel screen,and, so I have decided to purchase Olympus E3 outfit, if I can sell
  my other gear.

  I still own and intend to keep, Canon 5d, 17-40 f4L, 24-105 f4L, 70-200 f4L, 100mm Canon macro, Ricoh GX100 and Ricoh GR Digital, (this outfit I use for serious work).

  If somebody is serious about buying, I can arrange to meet.

  I’d keep the 40D as a usable backup for the 5D if I were you and just sell the 400D. The E3 looks interesting but I’d be very surprised if the IQ comes close to either 5D or 40D. Plus Olympus lenses to match your Canon range will cost you a bloody fortune. How do you like the Ricohs? I hear good things about them. Do they do nice raw shots after conversion?

  Ricohs are excellent, easy to carry and use, especially good for close up.

  I always use raw and find with careful processing can easily make 18×12 prints.

  I have ordered Olympus E-3 + 12-60mm lens, so will consider any reasonable offer for Canon gear.
