Sandisk Extreme III (4GB)… Sandisk Extreme III (2GB)… Sandisk Extreme II (2GB)… and Sandisk Extreme II(2GB)…
http://www.7dayshop.com or http://www.MyMemory.com
stcstcMemberextreme IV 2 gig & extreme III 1Gig
I dont go above 2 Gig, as thats two many pictures to lose by either a card failing or losing the card somewhere
SanderMemberI saw there online http://www.memoryc.com/flashmemorycards/cfcompact.html?Brands=Transcend&Capacity=2Gb anyone used that make before? They are well fast
stcstcMemberi wouldnt buy anything but the Sandisk cards
I have a bunch of others and the buffer on my camera runs out of space much quicker, even where the cards are ment to be the same spec.
nfl-fanParticipantYep, Sandisk, Sandisk, Sandisk… don’t dare think anything else.
A guy I work with, who is kinda semi-pro (sells celebrity photos), swears by Sandisk. Says he’s been let down a few times by other brands.
Big FellaParticipantSandisk for me too, come to think of it I have never used anything else.

randomwayMemberKingston and Lexar are equally reliable and I use their 2 gig cards for more than a year. Not one of them had any problems and in my D200 they are almost as fast as my Sandisk Extreme IV 8gig. For general use I think Kingston is the most economical and best choice. On the elara.ie they are usually really cheap (if there is any on stock).
GizzoParticipantnfl-fanParticipantJust asked the friend at work what brand he had problems with… Lexar. He now uses Sandisk only.
SwordieMember2 x 1gb Lexar Professional, 1gb Sandisk Ultra and 2gb Sandisk Extreme III.
No problems with any so far. [fingers and toes crossed!]
SanderMemberhas anyone used the Transcend cards? I heard they are made in the same factory as the SanDisk ones
ThorstenMemberMost of my cards are Sandisk Extreme III’s but I do have one Lexar and two Transcend cards and haven’t had any problems with any of them. It’s my understanding that both Sandisk and Lexar cards have a lifetime warranty, so that if they “wear out” you just send them back for a replacement (I’ve never had to test this or check if this is indeed true).
nfl-fanParticipantI have a Transcend.. got it free with a camera.. only call on it as a last resort, haven’t had any problems with it… noticeably slower than the Sandisk…
