HDR’d Rock Cafe

Alan RossiterParticipant
Nfl-fan said he’d cut off his right arm to find out how Dimitri Depaepe got those HDR images to look like they did (see here http://www.flickr.com/photos/dimitridepaepe/).
Well, I just went and asked him! :o
And he told me!!
And I’m not telling!!! 8)To be fair what he told me is an element to it but it takes a little skill to master it fully. Below is a first attempt at his method. I don’t think it’s the right image to start with but sure, we have to try…
Alan.
PS – Nfl-fan, how’s the stump??
Big FellaParticipantnfl-fanParticipantPM me… we need to talk.
Had just logged into Flickr… you are listed as one of my Flickr Contacts so I spotted this straight away as it shows me your 4 most recent images… it looks like the HDR fever has taken a grip on Wexford.
As for the image… the sky and the rock are fantastic… the greenery is a bit outta place and colour wise I feel that it doesn’t match up well with the sky and the rock for some reason… but nonetheless it is still a very distint and striking shot… one you would certainly turn you head at to look back… I know I was drawn to it the minute I logged into Flickr and seen the thumbnail
So anyway, as I said… PM me… we need to discuss some DD-HDR
nfl-fanParticipantPS. I said I would ‘chop the left one off’… I never specified what ‘one’ referred to
sean1098MemberGreat image Alan. I think the pic as a whole works well.
Sean,
Looks like i will have to give this a go for the crack aswell.
Mark should do a HDR contest once a month aswell. .just to keep you busy Mark.
Sean.
Alan RossiterParticipantWhatever JP…left or right
And stop PM’ing me – you’re filling up my inbox.
Alan.
