My wife is going to take some pics of some interior work she has done. She will be using my D70 on a tripod and I was going to set the camera on A (aperture mode) to let her take some shots. My question is what F-stop should she use for the photos? I know that F/11 is a good general number to get things in focus, but should she be using f/22 or similar to make sure to get all in focus. I know this will increase the shutter time, but as its on a tripod it shouldn’t matter. I will be using the 18-70mm lens, I take it its the right choice out of 50mm prime f/1.8 and a sigma 28-300mm.. Thanks in Advance…
Ps. She is shooting tomorrow, so any quick help is appreciated..
I would first advise to use that lens above the 20mm setting to minimize the distortions. As for the aperture, there must be a sweet spot somewhere around f/11-13. Above that you loose sharpness…. that’s my experience with that glass anyway.
