Hello – and NOT from Cork, this time!

Hi All
I have posted a small number of contributions, so probably time for a bit of an introduction. I have recently rekindled my interest in photography after a break ? house renovations and starting a family. Cameras are great for new and young children but limit your opportunities for landscape photography – my main interest. Now that the boys (2 of) are a bit bigger, I am looking for more opportunities to get out for walks and pics.
My interest in photography started when I was mad keen on climbing and mountaineering. Back then I had an Olympus XA that went everywhere with me. I have always struggled with composition and my frustration at my limited abilities: I love the technical side and need to work more at the artistic content!
Once injuries brought my climbing exploits to an end, I continued in the mountains with some walking and photography. I bought a Canon EOS 50e film camera and had great fun ? I love the gadget side of things. More recently, my wife bought me a Canon 40D for Christmas, so it?s time to get my walking boots back on!

hey welcome along, the 40D’s a great camera, get yourself a 10-22mm and those landscape shots will come flooding in.
