Hello all,
I’ve been lurking occasionally for a while and thought it was about time I got signed up. I’ve taken about 500 pictures so far with my Fuji S9600 and I’ll try to select a couple that would be suitable for critique (i.e. at least not screamingly awful…).
Great site, by the way. It looks like a simple forum at first sight, but there’s a lot going on, and an encouraging atmosphere to boot.
One question, what do people think about allowing/not allowing others to edit your images? What are the pros and cons?
All the best,
Paul
PixelleMemberLeesaParticipantHi welcome to the site. I only joined a few days ago, still finding my way round. Look forward to hearing from you. All the best Leesa
irishshaguaParticipantWelcome to the site. Lots to be learned here. As regards to editing images, some people don’t want their pictures touched and others are happy to have people give their view of how an image can be tweaked. Its up to each individual user which they prefer to choose. It’s one of the options in your user panel.
Anyways enjoy urself here.
Vanessa kennedyMemberHi, I’m a newbie too! It’s a great site, I am just beginning to get the hang of it now, enjoy your time here!
Vanessa :)
SANCHOMemberWelcome welcome, i think letting people edit your images is great, it’s good to see what could be done with your images and different people’s interpretations. :)
ossie13ParticipantBrickeeParticipantWelcome Paul,
Look forward to seeing your post. There’s a great bunch of folks here to help you along.Jim
GCPParticipantBig FellaParticipantAlan RossiterParticipantHi Payul, Welcome along and enjoy.
I state that I don’t want my images altered or edited – I don’t mind but the “No” title does discourage a free for all edit. Many people here have improved my images but have always sought my go-ahead first, which is very much appreciated too!
Start posting.
Alan.
steelydanParticipantRavenAshMembercathaldParticipantWelcome Paul.on the edit front nobody has touched mine probably because there is no hope for them
HolditParticipantThanks for the warm welcome, folks. I’ll drop a few pictures in tonight and get the learning curve kick-started! Time to revisit the manual too, methinks.
All the best,
Paul
