Poking my head up above the parapet to say "Hi."

Found and registered with this forum a week or so ago, so I thought I’d better say “Hello” sooner rather than later.

I’m not au-fait with technical stuff; in fact I really don’t understand fully about different lens etc BUT I do like taking pics.

Here’s a sample of some of my boating pics here.

Please criticize as much as you like because that’s the only way I’ll learn. I’ve been told the pictures are “soft”. I have a 350D with the normal 18-55 (I think) lens and a Sigma zoom lens. I don’t photoshop but when I get time soon, I’m going to have a go.

I’d like to get a lens that would give me a wider landscape view e.g. sometimes I can’t get all the mountains that I would like into a landscape shot; the second one I would like to get, is a razor sharp lens that could pick out a seabird on a cliff from a long way away.

Welcome to the site. Some nice pix in your collection there. Post some of them in the critique sections and you will get some really good feedback. The more you get involved the better it will be for you. Lots of people to help you out here.

    Enjoy…
