Taken this morning from my back garden.
Ran out in my pyjamas and grabbed a few shots as the sun was coming up…. :lol:30 secs f16
irishshaguaParticipantcathaldParticipantrichiehatchMemberLovely stuff… might be tempted to clone out the house on the left… Otherwise it has a great feel to it…! Warm colours but cold all the same..!
Richie
StevenHannaMemberThanks everyone.
Richie – sorry I can’t, that’s where the mother-in-law lives and she’d kill me! lolSteven
richiehatchMemberOK I take it back…. the wrath of the mother in law…! Ye really did marry the girl next door hah…?

Brian_CParticipantSteven, beautiful shot, it really is. It’s so warm and crisp, yet it’ll freeze the be-jaysis out o’ ya.
Is there something mad going on in the top right, maybe some glare just at the top of the tree.
Can I ask, is it the result of HDR’ing?
SeaviewParticipantLovely image, has as been said before a real winter image with some beautiful warm colours.
Well captured.
Dave.
lousyParticipantIt’s a lovely shot, but I’m not sold entirely on the purple part of the sky. I presume you were using a filter of some sort?
BTW that is not a criticism as overall the shot is superb, it’s just the purple I’m not sure about.
PatmgstParticipantJMac-2006ParticipantStevenHannaMemberThanks everyone.
Yeah, there was a big difference in the LHS of the sky as it was so bright, and the RHS which was still quite dark and dull. I’ll probably try a different crop which will hopefully eliminate as much of that top RH corner as possible.Steven
Mr.HParticipantNice View – and well executed as ever. One thing that hasn’t been mentioned so far is a slight banding as the oranges move through to the pinks. Does this disappear at full size?
Nice back garden as well (although maybe a bit close the the mother in law for comfort  )
Gary
StevenHannaMemberThanks Gary.
No, the banding isn’t in the original (or at least not noticably), I think the re-sizing for Web & reduction in quality has certainly had an effect.Steven
