my first macro

this is my very first atempt at Macro
used my nikkor 60mm had to manuly focus on this lil fella cos auto wouldnt lock on to him………. yes he is TINY
i tried my sigma with the 200-300 macro part of the lens and it couldnt lok on to him either :( first attemp at it and im happy :)
and of course C&C welcome

All the space around him seems a bit surplus to my liking though.
How good a resolution did you get it at?
Could you try rotating it about 5 degrees anti-clockwise and crop it so tightly around the little guy so that his three longest legs touch the top right corner, bottom right corner and middle of the left side or the frame? (If you know what I mean…).Just something I think might look nice. You’d have good lines from the legs.

yha he looks like he is in mid air so to speak. ill give teh crop a go and see what it looks like
