Shot today (Sunday 17th Feb) at Howlett’s Zoo. Waited patiently for nearly 3 hours before this bugger woke up and took a stroll! A good photographer is a patient photographer. So said some old dude I once met…. Incidentally he died of boredom.

Nice and sharp and perfect exposure, like the way the light has his the face and the Tiger is to the right hand side and not dead center.Great photo.

Thanks for the kind feedback. I was quite pleased with this shot. Just a shame it has to be taken in captivity. I’d love to shoot tigers in the wild! … With my camera of course. :P

    Wow!

Love this..I always enjoy tiger photos as they are my favorite creature. (Dogs are people remember)

This is one of the most gorgeous I have seen on here. Almost looks effortless..so natural.

I know this might seem unimportant…but I love the detail in the paws…not often caught..and they are of mighty consequence regarding the nature of the animal.

    Excellent~~~~

Stunning image and well worth the wait, I think everything else I could say has been mentioned above.

    Well captured.

Thanks again for the feedback folks. I might put up a few more of the tiger shots I took that day.

If anyone wishes to know, this was shot in RAW on a Canon 350D + Canon 100mm – 400m f/4.5 – 5.6L IS USM

    f/5.6, 1/1000s, ISO 400, 400mm

Tweaked ever so slightly and cropped with Photoshop CS3
