    Not sure what side of the fence to sit on with this one… Its a beautiful scene and yes very tranquil. For me the light is extremely flat and maybe the exposure slightly under. Maybe a slight boost in saturation would help and a bit of anticlockwise rotation. The reflections are superb and think my main issue with the image is the quality of light.

    thanks richie, the light was bad on the day, and your right its a bit dreary, but i’ll leave it as is, cant kill it coz its born now!

    Agree, bit more boost via the saturation. I would also have tried to use the weeds on the left as more of a lead in line.

    agree with the above the light made it very hard for you to make a good job of this i would revist in dawn/dusk when the light is better good composition though..

    Why not boost the contrast, drive up the saturation then convert it to B&W. Dodge the reeds both near and far and see what happens.
