Seems to be more detail in the shade of the BW version but I think this picture would work better in colour. Maybe you could try and bring out a bit extra detail in the colour version???
I reckon that both images are very very nice, although I personally would be of the opinion that the colours in the photograph take away from the generally “pretty” scene you have captured. The brown murky water just dosent do it for me, really. Im gonna go with the B/W. Also, B/W is usually my preferred choice anyway :D
If you could get rid of the brown water in the first one and dodge&burn a bit around the trees to bring out a bit more detail it would be the one for me :)
BW one for me too. but I think the colour one could be improved with some selective burning of the bright spots and also trying to get rid of the brown water. Nice compostion and framing with the tree
Of the two images that are presented above I would prefer the b&w as it highlights detail in the flowing water, however I think if you could get rid of the murky aread and boost the colour etc you might get something out of #1
Cheers
