Daft question regarding 35mm Sigma lens

I have a Sigma 70-210mmD autofocus tele lens that I have used on a Nikon F50 35mm film camera,

Can this lens be used on any digital SLR cameras…. apologies if this is a daft question…

It should be able to be used on any NIKON digital SLR. It wont autofocus on some bodies such as the D40, D40x or the new D60 that is coming out. Plus the sensor in most Nikon cameras have a magnification factor of 1.5x, so the lens will effectively become a 105-315mm lens on a DSLR. Nikon F mounts haven’t changed in donkey years! at worst you might have to manual focus the lens.

But to elaborate, the lens won’t work on any camera that doesn’t use a Nikon mount. So you can’t use it on a Canon SLR, digital or otherwise, for example.

    Cheers,
    Peter
