Kite surfin’

Alan RossiterParticipant
I brought the young lads out to clear the cobwebs and happened on these guys. Rosslare strand has a bay that is so shallow you can walk across some sections of it and makes it a safe place for this sort of sport.
Running at speed…
This guy had enough. This is a sand bank about 500 yards off the beach…
They’re a friendly sort…this is a signal for other surfers to watch out for his kite…ahem!
Alan
irishshaguaParticipantThese are pretty cool. I never seen this as a sport before. Looks like fun

jb7ParticipantlousyParticipantThree nice shots Alan. It looked like a nice clear day, the town looks good in the distance in #2
I take it the bigma is off the market???

Well, lets say it had to go on the market to justify a 70-200mm f2.8…but that was a while ago. To be honest I could never part with it.
Cheers all. It’s a pity the sky couldn’t have been more helpful bit it wasn’t the point of the exercise.

Great shots Alan, #3 is brilliant.

nfl-fanParticipantNice to be out and about and to happen upon something like this!
I wasn’t too far away, was down at SHB and was planning on heading over to Rosslare but the young lad was soaked from head to toe so we decided to pass. Raging now!!!
For some reason the guy in #3 reminds me of Mr. 4000 RPM… you know the one

I hear ya brother! Time and tide wait for no man…or 6 year old that dares it!
And I don’t think that would be 4000rpm…there’s no tight corners and no one to chat to!
Alan
