Unsure about this, is there a theme? and what is the relation with the heart and the shades ?? not really enough detail, bit of noise and the blue line around the lens of the shades doesnt help. Maybe am a bit harsh but its only my opinion.

I noticed this elsewhere, and was about to make a comment-

I had to stop myself, and I was only going to make my usual suggestion-
    just a little crop-

You see, that’d probably make me an interfering busybody over there,
and I wouldn’t want to be like that in front of strangers, now would I?

Far better to do it here,
where I’m actually expected to be an interfering busybody-

    That crop-
I’d like to see your horizon cut across the centre-
so a little off the bottom-

I like the picture- its almost like a portrait-
    seems very personal-

And it does benefit from seeing it in the context in which you originally posted it-

RGH~~ Thanks a million…I am more than appreciative of an extra set eyes! (pun yes..sad yes) I hoenstly did not even see the purple rim..it’s terrible..have tried to sort that and the noise..though not totally successful.

If it had a theme..it wasn’t well thought out. It is just things that sit on top of my chest of drawers eternally. A crystal heart that belonged to my mom..my sunglasses or I’d never find them…and my dad’s dog tags..which are fairly disguised in bokah.

    Not harsh..thanks for looking!

Jb7~~have reworked it..but I’ve lost some of the brightness in the heart and can’t seem to retrieve it. It all comes down to saturation and since I didn’t get everything right..I can’t have everything right.f

Thanks for interfering…I really needed it :D or I wouldn’t have posted it!

Sharon, Not commenting on the picture but it does seem that it means an awful lot to you which is what matters when it boils down to it. Nice to have the memories together.

Sharon to be honest it was the story that made me comment I think Josephs comments regarding the photography were a lot more than I would say but it was your comments that made the picture for me (if that makes sense).
Big soft lad at times me

Talk to you later, the old footie season will be starting again soon.

Sharon, I like your image, I love the tiny reflection of the heart in the shades. As soda has said, it means a lot to you. Yes I think the fact that these items (or two of them) belonged to your parents gives the image a warmer feel. Maybe I’m rambling on but there ya go.
    Pat.

ps I think you might need new shades for this summer he he

Lousyphoto~~ Thanks Pat..gosh I hope no one thinks I am playing on sentimentality. I really didn’t provide a description in the first place because I was afraid it might come across as being sort of icky

Thank for letting me remember that technique may top subject…but that it’s good as well to have a little heart in your projects

    Sharon

ps..am laughing so hard that you mentioned the tiny reflection..my 15 year old son..had just said..that little red dot wrecks the whole thing
Was delighted to show him your approval!

Just a thought.. I would like to see another version with a little detail on the ‘dogtag’, you know maybe a bit of the name, rank regiment??/ something like that.
In the original I didn’t know what it was until you mentioned it.
    Cheers
