Tripod wanted – anyone selling?

  I’m after a tripod guys – nothing super special, just need the basics, but obviously don’t want to waste my money on something totally cheap and crappy.

  Was thinking of buying a Hama Start or Gamma, and then saw a Manfrotto 758b for pretty cheap here: http://www.mymemory.co.uk/memory/Manfrotto/785B/MODO/Maxi/Tripod

  Just wanted to ask on the off chance if anyone might have something similar for sale, if they are upgrading etc.

  remember that you’ll still need a tripod head for that tripod!

  Have a look at the Other Equipment forum. There was quite a lot of discussion recently about tripods. I had been researching a new carbon fibre one and am awaiting delivery of a new Benro (copy of a more established Italian make, I have been told). I had also looked at a Triopo on e-Bay – appeared to be good value but I have no idea of the quality.

  I bought a 7DayShop.com branded Baby Tripod a while back and whilst it might be pretty basic it does a pretty good job. I forgot my main tripod one day whilst down the beach so the 7DayShop.com baby kicked in and saved the day.

  They sell there own standard size Tripod too.. very cheap and maybe a decent enough starting point if budget is an issue.
