Jez Jim, where did you pull that one from?? :D

It’s a simple shot but works. Now for the finer detail – I think it’d work better if it was placed in the top of the frame – there seems to be too much space at the top but the idea is good. Is this presented as shot or super imposed over a sky shot? Either way I like it.

I like this pic. The background is very good. very very good. I think its just unfortunate that the middle of the plant (whatever you call that bit) is just a bit dark. If it was just a bit brighter then this would be a really great shot. Lovely image though

I’d agree with Alan about the framing-
although the lighting is quite dramatic,
sometimes shade is better for the subtlety of the textures and details-

It also looks as if the camera was very close to the flower,
and there seems to be some foreshortening-

Alan this is as presented. Just an attempt at something different as I’m running out of birds in the yard.

jb7 I was just a few inchs from the flower laying on my back

Jb7 I agree also about the frameing. I had Thought about a square frame here. I have more that i have taken I will post one with the flower on top soon. and we will see.

    Thanks for your comments guys.

Lovely aspect Jim, unexpected and appealing. I’d agree though
about the space at the top of frame. Nice one…
