You should really re-size these to 800 pixels on th longest side. They are very large at the moment and thus hard to judge. They look nice from the thumbnails but you’ll get more responses with more friendly sized postings.

ah much easier to look at yeah. Very nice set of pix. Number two is my favourite because I think it has the most going for it. The moon looks really great in it and is a brilliant contrast to the stone masonry (or some intelligent term to describe the building :P ) but I think the moon is just a little out of focus or blurry or something. Maybe an infitie focus might have worked better. Love the duo-tone of the light falling on the building though. Very nice.

Theother two are well executed shots but don’t have the same punch for me.

    Nice set.

I really like the silhouette photo, some might say clone out the aerial , but I like the realism and in any case the main structure is very strong in the photo, so its not so distracting.
    Its simple and strong.

The photo with the moon in it, number 2, would be my number two, for some reason I think it might look nicer with a square crop, as the wall are quite thick it would emphasise the building. Nice colours.

The third one I didn’t like so much as there are competing points of interest drawing the eye, the rock and the arch.

The light was probably quite low but there is some lack of focus especially in the third one, so it may be better to try to use a higher f-stop, to get everything sharp, if your camera allows it.

    PS welcome to the site!
