When shooting in strong sunlight like that, it’s very hard to get enough exposure on the face, and not blow out the white shorts etc. You did’nt do to badly!.
What can help is to put the sun directly behing you, or directly in front of you. What way the whole face/front is lit the same either very bright or very dark. Then you can adjust your exposure to suit, and you’ll be blowing out less of the subject.Merv.
