Fantastic little set there I must say.

Conversion is super in all, can I ask what technique was used?

The action is surpassed by the cleanliness of the 4 shots.

    Excellent work.

Super shots and great conversions. These would be tough shots to get id imagine so you did very well here, all great, wont pick a favorite as i don’t want to take away from the others

Looks like a real wide angle lens, the distortion works very well

    Thanks,

I think I used one of Ciarans conversion techniques he posted a long time ago, switching it to lab colour etc…. (cant find the thread now unfortunately) I did selective levels, some dodging and burning. Had no flashes for some of them so used high ISO and didn’t worry about the sky being blown out. When I did have my flashes, I forgot I needed to bring my shutter to below 1/250th so they didn’t work most of the time, i thought my batteries were gone in them until it dawned on me!

As for the first pic, the shot was taken as the tyre buzzed the tip of the petal hood on my lens. Luckily the glass was untouched.
Used my 15mm fisheye for all these, literally look through the viewfinder, get rough composition then step back and keep the arm stretched out to avoid being hit by anyone, a little rotation and crop needed on them all.

    These are great!

I love the first one and I’m amazed you didn’t flinch back!

The thing was Pihjin, I was flinching back, who knows how messy it could have gotten if I didn’t move!

These are just f*kin awesome, love them all.. God I so want a fisheye after looking at these.
If I was picking a favorite it would have to be no.2.. love the action and the grafitti is just class.

Well done for getting so close.

Do you get much use outta your fisheye for other things?

Anyone have a link to the LAB technique for B+W conversion???

I tried looking for the link. I have it saved as an action on my PC in CS2 so I’m sure I could have a look and post it up again.

I use my fisheye for quite a bit Jess. Takes a while to realise how close you can get and get the distoted lines to work in your favour for composition with lead in lines and being so close so almost feel textures and see the detail.
