roped into doing friends wedding :(

i have been pretty much cornered into taking pics for a friend – last thing i wanted to be doing :( – a few pints at reception sounded better no stress :)

    – any advice welcome

i believe the things to focus on for the bride is to get the detail in the dress – does this mean i should be upping the exposure +1 ??
have been looking around net for some ideas on composition – to try and get something diff without taking too much time on the day

    – any tips ?

    Hi,
I’ve absolutely no experience here, and wouldn’t even claim to be an amateur photographer, still just a point”shoot guy
    that loiters about this site.

However, I’ve seen it mentioned a good few times that you should have a decent scout of the locations,
i.e. church, reception location, at the same time of day that you reckon you’ll be doing the shoot. Might give you a few ideas for something
if you are there and not put on the spot.

One thing that I noticed the photographer did at our wedding was to take just my wife and I for a few shots. Was great banter, gave us a
chance to catch our breath aswell. Was a part of the day I really remembered, plus it was different to the line’em up and shoot’em
firing squad shots that get done at weddings :)

Best of luck, don’t forget your spare batteries etc.

    Hi Jason,
Is this your first time shooting a wedding?
    Are you the official photographer!
Don’t know your level of experience but Make sure you have back up equipment.
Side lighting is best to get detail eg window light is beautiful.
    What gear are you using?

Well I did the wedding and after some near catastrophe with my files nearly lost of cards i finally got all pics printed – was quite nerve racking but turned out a lovely day and thankfully i think some nice photos too – thanks for your advice – heres a few

As well as the usual posed shots i tried to take a few candid shots and some of the details of the day
