The Many Colours of Dunluce
-
andy mcinroyParticipant
Quite a night this evening. Beautiful and varied colours in every direction.
I actually had to reduce the saturation in a couple of these.
SteveDParticipantAll terrific Andy! Can’t believe I choose a trip to the dentist over this :(
2 & 3 would be my picks, looks like your primes are still keeping the flare under control!
Jay KingParticipantwow lovely work… the silhouettes of the ruins are really great. I’d love to be able to take landscape shots like that…
cathaldParticipantSuper set as usual Andy colours are great
Very calm looking there, blowing a gale here, had planned to go to Malin head tonight but did’nt bother no lead weights for the tripod legs!!!!!!Cathal
DenverDollParticipantThese are all beautiful..
The first is my favorite..a perfectly medieval scene…timeless.
The second and third are nothing I’d ever complain about either.
Last one..in almost silhouette..is very peaceful and even a bit eerie..lots of mood and mystery along with beauty.
Madra RuaParticipantYou lucky ba***rd!
Class stuff! #2 for me, though #1 has a great otherworldly feel to it too.
BrickeeParticipantSeaviewParticipantVery nice shots Andy, number two for me I think the light is great. Number four is also very nice, I could see it frame hanging on my wall.
Dave.
-Oy-ParticipantNo2 for me. A great example of what a sunset should be – a great photo of something at sunset rather than just another orange sky!
ossie13ParticipantAndy another great set……………you were “lucky” with so much colour………but made good use of it….really like #2!!
Cheers Steve
lousyParticipantwesleylawMembervery nice. no.2 is excellent. I like the balance between the shape of the castle and the shape of the clouds.
JMcLParticipantGood stuff indeed Andy. You’ve escaped from the caves for the summer then!
2 and 4 are the standouts for me. I’d be tempted to lop a bit of the bottom of #4, up to just below the rocks on the left
John
StevenHannaMembernfl-fanParticipantAhhh.. Mr. McInroy.. nice to see you step outside your cave for some more traditional landscape once in a while.
#2 is a gem… I just wish I’d taken it. Beatiful colour, great composition too.
Whilst the colours in #1 aren’t as exciting the foreground rocks make for a better composition… another good shot.
The colours in #3, like #1 are great, but having seen #1 #3 just can’t compete. Same applies to #4… #2 is too strong for #4 to make an impact.
Now for one of those ‘If my Aunty had balls she’d be my Uncle” thoughts… I’d have loved to seen the sky and colour from #2 with the composition from #1. Perfect mood and best composition.
Nice work.
