Buachaille Etive Mor

MartinParticipant
Was in Scotland for the last week for a break. Below is a shot taken on the first day as we were approaching Glencoe, The main mountain in the shot is called Buachaille Etive Mor. Its a very photographed mountain and a hard one to get an original shot of I think, i think this is a bit different. Very happy with it, let me know what you think. Have plenty more shots from Scotland will post a few more up over the next few days as i get through them

perspective.. In fact, you did well to get a picture that doesn’t
have a heap of photographers in it!! Works well I think!I love Glencoe.

…and he stayed well away from your tree as well!! :)
BMParticipantA very powerful picture, Martin. I have climbed a lot around Glencoe and have memories of the terrible weather than can beset it – and of being caught out in such weather.
This photographs seems to hint at some great weather with clear skies and fluffy clouds. I would love to see it in colour – but I guess this was taken on B&W film. Great detail and atmosphere. Let’s see some more.
richiehatchMemberI like this image and yes its up to your usual high standards… Perhaps if there was a tree/person/cow/horse/sheep in it somewhere it would give everybody an impression of the scale of this mountain. I have seen many images of the same mountain and for some reason it always looked bigger….?
Regardless I like it anyway… its just different to what I have seen before which I think is precisely what you where after.
