From seeing what can be done with these “toys” I am hooked. Got a 120N a couple of days ago and ran
a roll of expired 35 through it. Results were terrible. Not helped by the confusion of the lady behind the
counter in my local 1 hour place. Anyway ran some new 35 through it. Getting there. It is very very different
to using a dslr. Keep forgetting to remove lens cap, wind on, focus, not use bulb setting! How can a “toy”
keep catching me out? So here is a shot from the second roll. Trust me the first roll was even worse.
The image is VERY large. What I can see from this small photo, it looks like an illustration in magazines from the 90’s. That’s what first came in my mind. It would be great seeing the larger version (resize it to 800px wide, please).
It takes a while to get used to them, throw the the lens cap away, why protect such a cheap lens, that will solve one problem. Keep at it you will get there.
Yeah, I just opened a white screen in photoshop and stuck the negative to the screen.
I used macro filters on my 50 mm 1.8 to fill the shot. It’s not ideal but will do
until I get a negative scanner.
