Because I’m showing up at her house at least twice a
    week with lovely flowers!!

I kinda like these, not sure if this is the right section, abstract maybe?
    Anyway, c&c welcome.

Love that second one Sinead, would sit well in the abstract
section. Not sure if it needs quite so much space at the bottom,
but flow of lines and colour is very pleasing to the eye…

Love them both – agree with Rob on the second. great shot but mayber a little cropped of the bottom would help it.

Very pleasant… #2 for me too… such an interesting and different idea too. I have to say I like the quirky crop in the original #2.

Thanks John, an idea born out of frustration of not getting any decent flower shots!

I agree with the above. #2 is really very nice. If you could share your technique that would be really cool.

    Thanks again for comments everyone.

Gary, not sure which technique you mean? Set up or processing?
Set up was really simple, used 2 bits of A2 sized card for background,
proped a silver reflector on a chair with some pillows,
    Nikkor 55mm Micro AI lens & x4 close up filter. 1/2 ” at f16 100 ISO
To get the blur, I just twiddled the flower a bit!

I’m really bad at keeping notes on what processing I do but the most of
it was done in Lightroom, direct positive preset and pushed the blacks a
bit. In PS levels, change mode to CMYK use apply image experiment with
colour channels, used black first and think I might have inverted the yellow,
play with blending modes as well, I like linear light and overlay. Change mode
back to RGB and used diffuse glow filter.

    Sinead.
