Jim, you must live in one of the most photogenic parts of the world (outside of Ireland)! I love the sky and the great reflections, though I don’t like the lack of detail in the trees. Having said that, I would love to have taken this one.
Keep them coming – I really look forward to your posts.
BM is right-
you’ve got a great location there-
we’re all jealous-
This is particularly nice-
unusual to see trees with such filigree at this time of the year too-
The one bit of critique I might have would concern the bright bit-
is there any chance you might have a darker exposure?
There is a mindset that requires all the tones in every picture,
but this one might suit being an overall darker tone,
to accommodate the brighter tones in the sky-
And I don’t mean HRT, or any of that advanced stuff-
just a plain dark moody print-
maybe I do mean HRT…
Thanks Guys, I don’t know what to say.
I took several shots at this pond that I really have not looked at yet.
I’ll go back and see what I can come up with.
In an attempt to bring out more detail I ran this one thru Photomatics.
Mapped from one exposure, -2-0-+2 And made a few adjustments. Hopefully not to much.
I think JB7 was right – the only issue with the origonal were the few sections of blown out sky. A slight rework of that one might be nice.
Never the less both are really nice images.
