Met up with a few PI members after work last night (in order of appearance: Martin, DenverDoll, jb7, RandomWay) along with a few friends of DenverDoll (Belinda, Ed, Des)…. all truly & exceptionally nice people I might add!

Took a few candids whilst arsing about in St. Stephen’s Green… they could have made the People forum… but then I’d be expected to touch up skin blemishes and the like… so I took the easy option.

Good set, John… so, how much did you sell my portrait for? I assume, some editors are dying to put it on a cover.

My films from the meeting are still in the lab, I will post some when I get them back.

Zoltan… I have to say… you were the star of the evening. The dry humour made me laugh all night… combined with your priceless facial posing… you’re a legend in my estimation.

FHM were on the phone today… but I never did get that model release form signed by you.

Glad my face hasn’t made the site yet…

Enjoy your last few days holidays!!!

BTW: I asked Zoltan for a mean, gangster look in this shot… between Zoltan and Des I could barely get a steady shot through all the laughter.

Pity I couldn’t make it in this time John… hopefully we’ll organise some kind of a meet up soon.

Looks like you all had a bit of a laugh anyway…especially that Des chap…

Also..I’m glad to know that Amber is so cool.. immortalised digitally now…her name shall live on long after the memory has faded…hehehe!!

So who was that with Wonkafan and Lousy at Carne Pier in Nov? :)

I don’t understand why this isn’t in People-

that top one of Des is fantastic-
    great picture-
though I wonder if something might be done with the colour-
I wonder if it could handle being warmed up a little…
the piece of graffiti makes it-

Ed- well he likes being in Dublin, don’t he-

    And Zoltan-
    what a poser-
I think he should give up his camera with his unfeasably slow film,
and just stand the other side of it in future-

How about the other pictures you took?
any action on the email yet?

Robbie: I hoped you could make it along, maybe next time brother. Yep, love the graffiti… I thought the pic of Des would be perfect for a square crop… but the graffiti just had to stay.

Ah Zoltan.. what a legend… spent the evening giving out to me about my camera settings and choice of camera… only then to be told that he had a roll of IS0 50 film in his camera walking around at 9pm at night

As for the other pictures I took… well I only took 28 actuations (wanted to look cool and act like I knew what I was doing in front of all the new people)… which is about 1/10th of my usual outing quota… and 20 of those were probably Zoltan.

Here’s Clive and his family… a chappie we met whilst in St. Stephen’s Green… what a cute daughter.

John, I am surprised by the softness in the faces on the family portrait. You have a natural talent.

Zoltan… you are funny… even thinking back to some of your quotes the other night still make me laugh now.

BTW: Zoltan, a former Nikon user, recently switched to Canon. When asked “how was the transition” this was his reaction:

I was serious now. After the guy was asking for a few bucks just to take his picture and the girl shouting inarticulate words for a few minutes for some reason, they got together and posed for an idillic family portrait in the end. I was really entertained by your idea to photograph them, and I hope, you will go on and make a series of these…

Three great shots John…I think each capture the essence of the subject and make me smile to see them.
