Hanging cloth mania

I might look stupid with the following photos. I spent a couple of days in Venice last week and this is all that interested me there… drying clothes. The strong shadows cast by the clothes, the contrast of the colors and the black shadows, the reflections of the sunshine fromthe windows playing on the ground… I could go on with it. I love to see geometry and anarchy in an image, and this place was heaven for me. So her they come… of course, they would look much better large with all the detail.. .so if you want, you can buy some prints off me :) just kidding. Let me know what you think!
Nikon D200, Sigma 10-20, ISO 800, f/9 and shutterspeeds around 1/320-1/800… yeah, I know, I forgot the iso :)
jb7ParticipantD200 as well as the 7?
must have looked like Denis Hopper in Apocalypse Now-
though maybe with a stiff neck-I like the third of these best-
love the shadows-j
nfl-fanParticipantVery good Zoltan… hate to say it… but it does tell a story.
Whilst drying clothes is neither fun nor interesting it certainly makes for a different type of snap.
Just keep away from the underwear OK… cos then your artistic integrity comes into question.
Nice work.

Thanks guys for the comments.
I would rather quote the name of Silvester Stallone and Rambo 4 in this context, but the stiff neck is correct.
Zoltan
GizzoParticipantreally good pictures.
expecially the first one. well done.
they are _extremely_ italian I must say ;)g0riIIaParticipantDanBParticipantThis custom is very common in Mediterranean countries, maybe not just only there, but I think it is representative for Spain and Italy where they made a great use of the narrow streets. Probably having a lot of sunny days is more important than aesthetics.
Nice capture, Zoltan.
voicuParticipantthey scream sunny days and heat. great captures, different than venetian gondolas, the hanging side of venice :)
