First post to PI hope I’ve done this correctly.
Coornagillagh is on the Coast road, Beara Peninsular and this spot is so easy to miss.
Nikon D200 and 18-200wexkel11MemberHi Dave Good first post, wide open spaces, excellent. Keep them coming. Mike

to it maybe a little bit over saturated? But very nice all
the same :)rc53Membershutterbug wrote:

PS are you an amateur or an amatuer?
derrynid daveParticipantThanks everyone
Shutterbug – Just the in camera saturation settings as recommended by nikonians.
rc53 – I’m the worst breed, graphic artist who wants to be a photographer.
Like to be in the great outdoors free of remit.shutterbugParticipant:oops: Defo not a speller anyways
and dave it is probably my screen and I think the amatuer dig was
directed at me :!: :lol:JMac-2006Participantderrynid daveParticipantThanks Jenny
and Jason, two minutes walk from my Sister-in-laws place, probably my favourite location. I’ll get some more posted soon.
A few minutes in the opposite direction is Gleninchiquin a lovely glen with loughs and a waterfall.kindredspiritParticipantNice photo, Dave.
Here’s another one of the same place. I wouldn’t say too many people go there.
And, yes, I know the pic’s soft but it’s with a Canon kit lens. And I know it’s skew-ways as well.
DeeboParticipantWelcome to PI mate
The first one is very good, try a crop right under the boat to remove the foreground and horrible shadow, it looks 10 times better
Deederrynid daveParticipantThanks Kevin,
The beauty of being off the Ring of Kerry is that it doesn’t attract so many people. Usually have the whole strand to myself.
It can get the full force of the storms sometimes, had to advise a couple with their baby to move their tent off the beach a couple of years ago. Thanks Dee, I’ll give it a try, but I kinda like the foreground rocks and shadow.
