40d exposure comp issue

    Hi,

    dont know if any one can help on this, but the top panel on the camera
    is showing that the exp comp is – 1/3 all the time, i have tried to change it but still
    goes back to this position. can anyone eplain this for me?????

    Put the power switch into the “Dog Leg” setting (the one above “On” with the angle line). This activates the back dial and now will let you move the exposure compensation back to zero. The “On” switch is designed to disable the back dial in situations where it might accidentally be moved, for example, when it’s hanging by the strap from your shoulder,
