Anyone for pancakes

I thought a nice summer dessert might go down well. Any comments very welcome.
Very different with the black background Oscar, not the usual
for food photography. I think this may be overcooked a little,
processing wise, with the whites very burnt out and some of the
colours a bit oversaturated. Compositionally, it may need a little
more room on the left too. Though overall it looks very good…Rob.
Thanks for the comments Rob. There is actually very little work done on this only some adjustments in the RAW conversion, its a strong backlight from the sun. I wanted to give that out in the sun bright look but I can see your point.
I agree with Rob about the first one looking somewhat burnt out but other than that I love the image.
The second one is good too but the tilt to the plate makes it looks as though it would side off the table!
