Everybody loves these little characters.
This is an example of how not to use DOF, I had got these little soldiers, or probably sailors, to line up. Very dissappointed when I saw result.
Here’s a Landlubbing oystercatcher for good measure.
Nice set there Mike although I think the Oystercatcher is a bit washed out.. pardon the pun.

Looks like you all had a great time out there.
#2 is probably technically the best of the set.
#1 could do with a little CW rotation just to take the slant look off it.
#3 would have looked great had you managed to pull it of.
#4 is easily fixed by adjusting your black point in PS via curves.

Hi John, Thanks for the comments, You would have been in your element out there. When you’re back and fully functional you’ll have to get out there. Lousy Just got to me before you, by PM, re Curves and no 4. It’s funny Curves is a tool I don’t use a lot, don’t know why? I’ll have to start usind it, no doubt it does the job. Thanks guys. Mike
No bother Mick. I think #1 could take a slight adjustment of the same nature too… but if it gets too saturated or harsh looking just drop the opacity on it.
