Phoenix park as the sun is setting
-
ciaranParticipant
It’s been a while :) Hope people are keeping well?
This was taken last week in the Phoenix park as the sun was beginning to set. Comments welcome
fstop89564ParticipantYes it has been a bit since you have been here……welcome back……….always enjoy your work……..and once again I do like this shot. lots of good detail with the subject and the surroundings………..
lousyParticipantWelcome back indeed, and you’ve made a great comeback with this image. Its very clear sharp and inventive and I have to say I really like it.
Pat
MartinParticipantThis is very nice, love how you used the setting sun to back light the picture and used just the right amount of flash. Works really well, well done
Tell LoGill were missing her over in the landscape area…

Alan RossiterParticipantWelcome back Ciaran. Your touch is missed and as Martin says that of LoGill. Great shot and I don’t normally comment on posed shots but this does stand out.
Well worked!
Alan.
RGH_PhotographyMemberBeautiful shot and the model is stunning also but the sloppy horizon/field keeps shouting at me, quite distracting!!! level it up and you have a seriously good shot !
figParticipantlatchikoParticipantThis is great. I love the lighting and there’s a great fresh feel to the image as a whole. I’d be inclined to rotate it slightly to level the horizon but other than that it’s a craking image.
dave100ParticipantImpressive Ciaran – Always nice to have a good model who knows what she is doing.
Well done.

ciaranParticipantCheers everyone :) Well spotted on the crooked horizon. I even have a print of this and never spotted it
Thanks again
PitmaticMemberExpresbroParticipantBeautiful shot Ciaran…love the colours (never thought I’d be saying that about a shot of yours… )
Nice to see you posting again :D
I see you’ve been bitten by the fashion bug as well…
Don’t leave it so long …is always good to see your work on here…

PeteTheBlokeMemberWelcome back Ciaran. This shot is wonderful – good enough to eat. I noticed the horizon too
but then had to tell myself it’s not a landscape shot. After all, the model leans the other way
so what does it matter? (BTW, if it was a landscape, straighten the horizon and it would be
a very nice landscape too).ciaranParticipantThanks everyone.
Robbie.. haven’t you heard? Colour is the next B&W. I haven’t shot B&W in quite some time.. I needed to get some colour images into my portfolio so have been focusing on that. As for this being fashion (or any other genre).. well I’m not so sure what it is really. It’s just an image.
Thanks for all the comments.
stcstcMemberwell done ciaran
i like the look of it
i would be tempted to knock back the clouds around her a little, as they almost give a bit of a halo
nice to see you back on the site
