Shooting into the light

Eartly evening light in the reeds. I liked the way the harsh backlight edged her body.
SiseanmcfotoMemberRather than make a list of things, I only need to ask myself one question.. Does it work? Yes.
AllinthemindParticipantThanks Sean.
Is Art-nude work still a little under-the-covers in Ireland? How’s LR2 coming on, you’re the man in the know? :)
Si
ThorstenMemberVery nice indeed. Dare I say I think the model has a ‘perfect’ figure (in so far as something like that can be defined or actually exists). In relation to your comment about harsh backlight, am I missing something? I don’t really see any evidence of harsh light as such.

Yep, unless you are Spencer Tunick, in which case you can get 1100 people to stand naked in front of Blarney Castle at 3am in the morning!
AllinthemindParticipantThe backlight was the sunset, so pretty harsh, there are pure white areas on her body. Funny you should say about her figure, It’s approaching perfect for sure (perhaps she’s a little short) :)
I had Tony Nutley holding the reflector (which I would have put more in front of her with hindsight, and he said “Jo, if you don’t mind me saying, they are the best tits I’ve ever seen”. I agree!

Here’s another from when we were over a few months ago. You might recognise the backdrop.
seanmcfotoMemberSi,
I do have a figure model friend, who will pose nude, no issues or qualms.. my problem is time. I’ve none.
Between work, writing and web gallery development, I’ve nearly no shooting time. The time I do have free is spent minding my young lad. I literally have 1 day where I’m not either minding or working at night, and recently these have been spent travelling, or getting caught for extra work!As to V2.. Apparently people who know anything can’t even pretend they know. So I know nothing… apparently. The Beta have some great new features, so I imagine they’ll still be adding to it…
If you feel up to it, I’d love to see a short essay on your thought process when building the shots.
Sean.
