Taken in Italy a few weeks ago. I love field patterns and I just couldn’t resist this.

I love field patterns, this one looks like a tapestry.

Trouble is, when I see fields like this I either cannot stop or have left the camera at home.

    Hi Sean.
This is IMO one of the most pleasing images I’ve seen in a while-
Maybe because I would just like it as a hanger, I don’t really know-
It could be oversaturated but I like it that way… in this one anyway-

    Hi Sean!

Great work as usual. Really peaceful, I think. Something kind of impressionist about it too.

At first I thought is was trellis’ of grapes and their shadows, but I’m starting to think that the darker lines between the foliage is tracks from a tractor or something. Do you know what’s growing there?

Needless to say, I’d prefer to be there than here :D

Fortunately, I had both the time and the equipment when I saw this :)

Hi Pat. I agree that the saturation is very high on this, depending on what monitor you see it on. I must confess I took some real liberties with this image, and went much further than I normally would in the post-processing, but I really wanted a strong colour contrast between the reds and greens.

Thanks Sean. So would I! It wasn’t all plain sailing in Italy this summer though. I spent two weeks there and there was a lot of cloud, rain and thunderstorms. So sometimes I had to make lemonade from lemons :D

I’m not 100% sure what the crop was. It could have been maize, just peeping over the ground after being recently planted. The farm had cattle in the field right beside where I took the shot, so maybe the farmer had planted maize for animal feed.
