Genie… I’ll be honest with you… the subject matter lacks interest (that’s the nice way of saying it’s boring but I hate that word)… and might explain the lack of comments.

I can see though that you’ve probably been trying to experiment with depth of field… and if this is the case then you’ve managed to pull it off quite well.

It’s sharp, it’s fairly well exposed so that’s good too.

Good to see you really getting stuck in and getting up to speed.

Thanks for replying John, yeah its quite dull ok. :D Am just trying to get as much practice as possible. Delighted you think its sharp and well exposed. It means I am learning. This site is brilliant, I have learnt soooooooo much since I joined.

    Thanks again,

    Janine

Interesting picture, is the original picture in colour or b/w? What pops out is the gate as the horse shoe is too dark and can only be partially seen because of the blurred white gate-bars in the background, which has a little highlight. But the peeling paint is very nice, some sharp detail. But since the horse & left side of the picture’s background is dark you can’t make it out, so it looks a little lop sided.

I’ve changed the highlights to show you what I mean.
