Black Vine Weevil osheadParticipant June 27, 2008 at 8:10 pm I found this Weevil in the garden yesterday. He wouldn’t stop walking so brought him in to get a better shot. I believe its a Black Vine Weevil – Otiorhynchus sulcatus (Fabricius) Dave OS GenieParticipant June 27, 2008 at 8:22 pm Dave, The detail in these pictures is only fantastic. Dave OS PixelleMember June 27, 2008 at 11:42 pm What’s the white material the weevil is walking on in #2, please? It seems to be a different scale. BrickeeParticipant June 28, 2008 at 12:52 am Once again Great stuff Dave. Jim osheadParticipant June 28, 2008 at 7:03 pm Thanks for the comment Jim. Pixelle It’s the rounded corner of a wooden board. Dave OS PixelleMember June 28, 2008 at 9:42 pm Thank you, Oshead. It loooked like some knitted or woven material, and I couldn’t rationalize that with the size of the weevil. osheadParticipant June 28, 2008 at 11:41 pm Pixelle wrote: Thank you, Oshead.
