Trying out my “el cheapo” ring flash, the Marumi DRF14 I found this guy chillin out on the apple tree. I was on tippytoes taking this, would have preferred to get up a little bit higher but didn’t want him to get away.
Canon 400D, 60mm Macro, Marumi DRF14 ring flash, manual focus, iso 100, f11, 1/200th Any C&C appreciated

Very nice image Mikka. Hoverflys can be very difficult to use flash on.
