Has been rumors about this over the last while, looks like they were true. REkon your talking about 2700euro

The D3x 25mp is rumored also, which I would think will be announced before the end of the year… Good to see Nikon finally waking up after falling asleep and losing their no1 position in the 90’s…

It will be a very affordable camera in a years time when it’s price comes down to under €2,000, and if the sensor is the same as the d3, I know that my d200 will get company.

I am more interested in the new flash they released. Narrower beam, better user interface, sounds really good.

    Something else about D700 http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/multi_page.asp?cid=7-9311-9483

I am personally waiting for the real test made by users, and their opinions. It may be great backup to the D3…
Both Full Frame body’s in the camera bag :D:D Sounds nice :)
The bad thing is – together with the MB-D10 battery grip it is heavier than the D3 :(

Both d3 + d300 get outstanding reviews, I would be extremely surprised if the d700 was any different. The only thing I can think of that people would complain about are the few features that didn’t get transferred from the d3 to the d700, and the price.

For me the best 2 camera combo would be 1 fx + 1 dx. I think a d700 + a d300 would be sweet, and would cost around the same as a D3..

You are probably right, but anything can happend ;) This is for sure camera dream for all Nikon users. Full Frame for the price similar to the Canon 5D.

Personally I will preffer 2 FX: D3 and D700. D3 because of second CF slot, speed etc. And D700 for a backup. But I fully understand photographers shooting sport, landscapes etc. For them DX is great.

Now studio photographers probably dreaming about D3x with 24 Mpixels :D:D

My wish will be only for a few more constant lenses with low light and AF-S.

    All the best

Check out Joe McNally’s Blog for a few words from him on the SB900.

Well, it is… but new Nikon is coming… :P

This is only a joke. Some users prefer Canon, some Nikon. Both are great. Personally I dream about having both ;)
The problem is to switch from one to the other. Even you wood do this, you are counting how much you are gonna loose selling equipment you own from the other brand.
    And…

    All the best!!
