Technically it’s decent photo… sharp, vibrant, well saturated. Perhaps just needs some straightening up.

Content wise… it could possibly be perceived as one of two things:

    1. A bit on the flat side… the main gent is a bit inanimate, no engagement with the camera, nothing dynamic about the market stall/place… seems a bit quiet.

    or

    2. A lonesome father, pensive, a man with responsibilities, trying to make a living, staring into infinity… thinking about what?

Initially I thought the former, but as I looked closer and spotted the young lad asleep I was swayed towards the latter. I think this shot would have been great with man & child more prominent in the frame.

Overall.. I like it.. and the technical finish to it really appeals here (scanned film?).

Very Nice – The second image is much stronger imo… you have lost a bit of the surrounding story, but as an image it is much stronger and the story is more focused on the guy and his son….. as an image it’s probably moved out of travel and into people!

Love the crop. Like a completely different story. Great colours you’ve
got there too. I’m as curious as nfl-fan regarding scanning/film.

(being a technophobe) I don’t have any fancy answers on the scanning side…..went to Gunns, paid them €10, they scanned in the roll…..
