Took these yesterday in Pili Palas Butterfly Palace in Wales. Just came across it by accident , Lovely place but unfortunately could not stay long because had to get back to Holyhead for the ferry… :x
Vanessa, these are so clear! I visited the Pili Palas some years ago, sans camera in those days.

I don’t think so Vanessa. :) Natural light shots are very difficult to control. With both Macro and close-up shots.

No.2 does it for me. I would have totally overexposed those wings, but you have captured so much detail in a really white surface, while not leaving the rest of the image too dark. thats excellently done. did you brighten the rest of the image ( not including the wings) in photoshop? well done.
