St Johns Wort (I think) Nice colour and the centre is nice and
sharp, I would be tempted to crop a bit more off the top and bottom
just to minimise the oof petals a little, just my opinion though :)0Vanessa kennedyMemberSodafarlMemberVanessa lovely detail, I have to agree with Jenny about a different crop. Love the drops of watter on the left hand petal in all a great picture. Are you still using the Fuji.
Soda
0Vanessa kennedyMemberThanks Soda – yep, still using the fuji. The more I look at it, the more I’m starting to agree with you & Jenny about the crop. Thanks for the C&C :)
0BrickeeParticipantRobMemberVery good Vanessa, really vibrant colours. St John’s Wort it is; there’s a ton
of it growing outside my office window. I quite like the crop myself, but different
strokes for different folks and all that…Rob.
0aidotimmoParticipantI like it Vanessa. It’s just the right amount of Macro for me. Not too close you’re wondering what the hell it is. What lens did you use do you mind me asking??
0osheadParticipantVery nice Vanessa. Composition and light is very easy on the eye. :)

0fguihenParticipantlovely image. for some reason the saturation stands out for me as being perfect. ive never noticed the saturation of an image before. perhaps its because of the lovely deep yellow.
I believe this is commonly known as a Rose of Sharon, at least thats what my Aunt calls them.
