A few from today. All shots taken with the MP-E 65mm lense and the MT-24 EX twin lite flash.

This ia x5 magnification. This beetle was really tiny. I’d say no more than 2mm long. Seen here about to take off.

About 5 -6mm long. I have yet to get an ID for this one.

I need an ID for this Fly too. The eyes are special I think. :)

Came across this Wasp eating something really disgusting.

Great shots Dave the second looks like a Flesh Fly http://urbpan.livejournal.com/710385.html

First one has me baffled, maybe email the Derek Mooney show and send them off an attachment. Get a mention, and who knows someone might want your images for a book.

Yet another great set Dave, though I think that #1 is not up to your usual high standard. You might get some help with id at http://www.diptera.info/news.php…….Mikka

    Thanks for the comments guys.

I got my ID’s in the end form the Wild About Britian forums. :)

    #1 is a Beetle – Cryptophagid – Atomaria

#2 is a Apolygus lucorum.

    #3 is a Fly – Lonchaeidae sp.

Mikka. I quite like #1. Simply for the difficulty and the time I had to get it. This guy was so tiny. The leaf he was on was shaking in the wind and I just went for the shot. When I looked he was gone. :)
