Running while standing still

  Took this on a recent trip to Powerscourt. Was my first outing with my Sony A350 and Minolta 50mm F1.7 lens.

  This is straight out of the camera and I think my favourite photo from the day.

  To me his eyes almost look real.

  Good shot Jonny.
  There is not much to say about this, it is a great statue with amazing eyes. The face is well lit and the background is nicely blurred.
  I had to download the photo to see the whole thing, – if you can make your posts a bit smaller it helps, more people will comment.

  Sometimes it helps to leave the exif data in the photo so that when you are posting people can see what you are doing for critique.
  But your shot is sharp, with good depth of field, so in this case it is not so important.

  Hi Jonny,

  I like it – its sharp – good detail and it stands out with the shallow DOF that you opted for..The only thing I may have done different is not to show the part where his feet are mounted…That’s only my own taste..

  Good picture though..
