A couple of flies

A few fly shots taken using Canon 400D with EFS 60mm Macro lens and ringflash. I know #2 is a little soft around the eye but otherwise any C&C or tips on how I could have improved are welcome.

I think number 3 is particularly good – both in compostion and critical focusing. As for tips I don’t know – I have just bought myself a ring flash and am trying to get to grips with it, I could do with some tips myself.

I have been informed that in #2 the fly is covered in mites (the little pink things) and there was me thinking he had a bad skin problem :shock: …….Mikka
..and there are probably things on the mites aswell – suddenly a 5:1 macro lens doesn’t seem enough!
